Seven members of a family and two others were killed after two vehicles collided on the Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, Saudi Gazette reported.The crash took place in Al-Ahsa governorate. The seven family members were travelling in one vehicle and included a father, mother, three sons and two daughters. The other vehicle was carrying two young men, both of whom died in the collision.The Eastern Province Traffic Department said its teams responded to the crash and identified a sudden swerve as the cause of the collision. Authorities are completing the necessary procedures.The impact severely damaged both vehicles, leaving people trapped inside the wreckage. Civil Defense and Red Crescent rescue teams were sent to the scene and worked to free those trapped in the vehicles.All nine people died in the crash.The Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road is an important route in the Eastern Province, connecting parts of Al-Ahsa governorate with the coastal areas.
