MUMBAI: The rupee gained 16 paise to close at 94.48 against the dollar Thursday, its strongest level in two weeks and fifth consecutive session of gains, as foreign investor buying resumed and crude oil prices fell below $100 a barrel. Dealers attributed the improvement in inflows partly to portfolio reallocation, with investors diversifying away from AI investments.
