Highways minister Nitin Gadkari Wednesday said that his ministry has approved Rs 1,176 crore for the construction of a 6.9-km-long, 6-lane major bridge with approaches across Teesta river at Sevoke on NH-10 in Bengal’s Darjeeling. The bridge will strengthen connectivity between Sikkim and the N-E states, Gadkari said. TNN
