NEW DELHI: Centre informed Delhi high court Wednesday that a retest is being conducted for three subjects of UGC-NET June-2026 examination, including Sociology, following complaints of errors in the question papers.Taking note of the submission by solicitor general Tushar Mehta, Justice Jasmeet Singh disposed of a plea filed by a candidate who appeared for the Sociology exam, which sought a stay on the declaration of results pending an independent probe and re-conduct of the exam following allegations of paper leak and errors in the question paper.While English and Commerce papers will be held on Sept 9, the Sociology paper will be held on Sept 10, Mehta told Delhi HC, adding that the decision addresses the student’s grievance.In a public notice, NTA had acknowledged that it received several complaints about multiple errors in the question papers of three subjects and formed a committee to look into the matter.
